Goals
To teach the basic concepts of communication law, rules and regulations and the rights and legal institutions of the search paths. Learn about freedom of expression and communication, print media, radio and television, advertising, cinema and the Internet in the basic legal concepts, rules and institutions.The aim of this course is to enable the people who will work in the communication sector to know the mass communication law and to work in accordance with laws of press and ethical rules.
Content
Communication within the framework of basic rights and freedoms, the development of communication freedom, the content of freedom of communication, the regime of press, basic organizations, administrative, civil and criminal liabilities. Laws regulating the mass communication field and the legal problems experienced by the institutions and organizations that serve according to this law. At the same time, provide information about the law practices of other countries' related mass communication field and the individual's constitutional right in the context of international contracts and the legal freedom and limitations of information disclosure.

Learning Outcomes
1) Evaluate communication process within the context of basic rights and freedom regime.
2) Recognizes the national and global communication regulations, the basic concepts, theories and principles.
3) Comment on the development of freedom of communication in Turkey.
4) Defines the press regime and the concepts of basic organization, administrative, civil and criminal responsibility about it.
5) Produces thoughts and knowledge to understand and solve legal problems related communication field.
6) Defines and acquire skills of comment to regulates the regime of protection of intellectual property rights.
7) Can synthesize information between communication Studies and the area of law.
8) While accessing all kinds of information, using and transmitting of all other thoughts on the process and in all other practices of the profession strives to comply to related laws and ethical codes and rules.
9) Has the knowledge of the legal framework related to the all fields of communication.
10) Follows the local, national and international events with critical comments from the point of communication law. .
