Goals
The aim of the course is to teach pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of drugs, general and specific knowledge for clinical use; to teach the sources, effect, uses and doses of drugs affecting body systems; to provide an ability of appropriate and conscious drug use.
Content
General Pharmacology, Drugs affecting central and autonomic nervous system, Cardio vascular drugs, Drugs acting on the blood and blood forming organs.

Learning Outcomes
1) To be able to explain the basic principles of pharmacology and its terminology.
2) To be able to understand the sources and general properties of drugs and the absorption of drugs applied to the body, distribution in the body, biotransformation and body excretion.
3) To be able to explain mode of actions, routes of administration, doses, interactions, adverse effects of drugs.
4) To be able to explain pharmaceutical forms of drugs.
5) To be able to list the properties and sources of drugs affecting body systems.
6) To be able to explain the properties, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, mode of actions, adverse effects, interactions, use and doses of drugs affecting nervous system.
7) To be able to explain the properties, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, mode of actions, adverse effects, interactions, use and doses of drugs affecting cardiovascular system.
8) To be able to explain the properties, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, mode of actions, adverse effects, interactions, use and doses of drugs affecting the blood and blood forming organs.
9) To be able to prescribe medicines.
