In this module; problems of economic systems, economic events, sides of economic events and their modes of behaviors, consumer theory and profit maximization, profit maximization theory of the firm, firms decision-making processes in different markets and the factor markets will be analyzed.

Learning Outcomes
1) Have a basic understanding of basic economic terms such as scarcity, choice, efficiency, opportunity cost, factors of production, supply, demand, profit, cost, the price system, wage, interest, rate, rent.
2) Gain the ability of understanding the consumer behavior, consumption, decision and consumer choice, the role of income and price on these subjects.
3) Understand production decision by firm, factors of production and cost of production, short and long term decisions and short and long term costs, and their impacts on profits.
