Goals
To understand the concepts of social inequality and social distance and their relation to social processes.
Content
Examining the power and its effect, the social distribution of income and wealth, the status, education and specialization in the formation of social fortune in stratification, and general theories about stratification, as well as the current theories of social stratification and social inequalities; class, status and power are examined in detail.

Learning Outcomes
1) Contributes to social reform in a variety of ways by means of social criticism and practice.
2) Knows that a better understanding of a particular set of social conditions often gives us a chance to manage these conditions.
3) Knows that increasing cultural sensibilities is a means to determine policies which are aware of the existence of different cultural values.
