This course aims at providing an information on the basic institutions, principles, and rules of Turkish law. Besides addressing in particular the need for law, the methods used in law and the branches of law
Content
Introduction to law examines basic concepts of law, the relationship between law and social order, sources of Turkish law, legal persons and business associations, branches of law, Turkish judicial system.

Learning Outcomes
1) At the end of the course the student is expected to gain a better understanding of basic legal concepts.
2) The purpose is to familiarise the students with the functions of Turkish legal system.
