Goals
To introduce the tools and equipments used in the microbiology laboratory to the members who will work in the health field, to teach the characteristics of microorganisms, breeding conditions and productions, to control the microbial growth and to provide information about the harmful and beneficial effects of microorganisms
Content
Microbiology Laboratories, Microbiology Laboratory Working Rules, Microbiology Laboratory Vehicle-Devices and Microscopes, Classification and general properties of microorganisms, Microorganisms producing environments, Microorganisms painting and dyeing methods, Microbiological diagnostic methods.

Learning Outcomes
1) Learn basic information about microorganisms and microbiology.
2) Learn basic working rules in Microbiology Laboratory.
3) Learn the general tools used in microbiology-devices and the use of microscopes.
4) Have knowledge about the production of microorganisms.
5) To acquire knowledge and skills about the basic diagnostic methods used in microbiology (microscopic diagnosis, staining methods, medium used in isolation and identification, and sowing techniques in culture, culture methods)
