Course Goal / Objective

To inform the student about the use of water and textile auxiliary chemicals in textiles

Water and its importance in finishing mills, Surfactants and their properties, Chemical properties of cellulosic fibers, Chemical properties of protein fibers, Chemical properties of polyester fibers, Chemical properties of polyamide fibers, Chemical properties of acrylic fibers, Basic information of dyeing process, Fiber-dyestuff bonds, Dyeing isotherms
