Course Goal

To teach the toxic effects of metals on different molecules and vital biochemical processes

Course Content

toxic effects of heavy metals and pesticides in the aquatic environment, molecular, biochemical and cellular perspectives of toxicology, enzymology and molecular biology of xenobiotic-conjugating enzymes, biochemistry and molecular biology of monooxygenases, cellular responses in chronic toxicity, expression of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, DNA adduct analysis and mechanisms of metal regulation.
