Course Goal

It is aimed to explain the physiopathological mechanisms in the body.

Course Content

This course focuses on the physiopathology of the most common diseases that disrupt cell, organ and system functions. Students are taught the basic physiopathologic mechanisms at the cellular level. Symptoms and signs, organ and system dysfunctions presented with case studies are discussed with questions involving cause-effect relationship. Students will gain the ability to question and analyze the physiopathological changes in the clinical situations they encounter and to reach a synthesis by using their factual / conceptual knowledge.
