Course Goal

To evaluate the interdisciplinary relations between neuroanatomy, kinesiology and behavioral sciences in order to understand the effect of neural structures and functioning in the control of movement, from the simplest movements to movements controlled by higher centers, and the integration of emotional-cognitive-behavioral patterns.

Course Content

The relationships between neuroanatomy, neurology and kinesiology. Main topics: Suprasegmental organization, neural networks (circuits), adaptation of the motor system, integration of dynamic and postural reflexes in the whole body, PNF method and movement strategies.
