General Information

n Forensic Science Master Program; classical and current knowledge based on theory and practice is given and produced in the fields that have impact on forensic sciences such as genetics, toxicology, biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, sociology and criminalistics.

Feature & Definition

This program trains Forensic Sciences specialists who can work in different areas of Forensic Sciences. The first year of this program consist of compulsory and elective courses for the purpose of gaining knowledge and skills at undergraduate and graduate level in the field. The second year includes thesis preparation period. At the end of the second year, the student who is successful in the defense of thesis receives a master's degree in Forensic Sciences.

Goals

1. To educate specialists who are competence in collecting, processing, analyzing and evaluating evidence, creative in problem solving, effectively using basic scientific literature in their research, competing in verbal and written scientific forms of communication, formulating scientific explanations based on historical observations and experimental evidence. 2.Strengthening international coordination and exchange of information.

Objectives

1.To educate spesialists who have oral and written communication skills in areas where standing or may enter under the umbrella of Forensic Sciences, having the ability of critical thinking and analysis, developing laboratory skills, acquiring problem solving skills, understanding the criminal justice system conceptually.2. Obtain and maintain program accreditation 3. Sustain an average of 5 graduates per year. 4. Prepare students for employment.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students can continue their education in graduate programs in their own field or related fields as a result of the evaluation of ALES, Undergraduate Graduation Grade and Interview Exam within the framework of “CU Graduate School of Education Regulations” in this program.
