General Information

With the marketing program, the need for qualified staff is provided. The training given in the program is aimed at providing the mid-level work force required by the industry and includes courses such as marketing, sales management and techniques, consumer behavior, economics, business, logistics, service marketing, advertising and computer. The processing of the lessons takes place in an environment where interactive participation is provided with teaching staff, real examples of the topics are discussed, and subjects are supported by homework and projects. In addition, each student is required to do the marketing and sales related institutions and organizations that they are required to do in the real business world to take the subjects of the internship.

It is a two-year higher education program that aims to train intermediate manpower, which will assist managers in management and marketing of marketing and sales units in business life, or can open and run business on their behalf. Goals

The aim of the marketing program is to train the sales personnel who are needed in the subjects such as classification, standardization, marketing, sale and purchase, transportation and storage of the products. The Marketing Program aims to cultivate successful individuals who can work as intermediaries, executive assistants or middle managers in private and public enterprises, open and operate their own businesses, use communication technologies effectively, produce creative ideas and succeed in social relations.

Objectives

Qualified employees who can graduate as a sales management professional in the marketing program and who can take part in every step of management to find potential buyers in professional sense, to inform them, to help them to buy, to convince them, to help their problems, (capital market organizations, hypermarkets, pharmaceutical companies, marketing firms, etc.) in the public and private enterprises as well as being able to find employment opportunities and to open a workplace on their own behalf.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students are admitted with a central examination conducted by the Marketing Program Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM). Students are admitted to the program with TYT score type and 2-year associate degree education is given. Students who choose with their TYT score are placed in the program they prefer with the Central Placement made by OSYM according to their success ranking.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students graduate from this program by completing 120 ECTS/ECTS credits. In order to graduate, students must successfully complete all of the courses available in the program and obtain a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. In addition, students must successfully complete their 30-day professional internship. The graduate student is awarded an associate degree in Marketing.

Access to Further Studies

The admissions of associate degree graduates to undergraduate programs and their adjustment programs are made by the administrative boards of the relevant units in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education of Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs, published in the Official Gazette dated 19/2/2002 and numbered 24676. Those who have successfully completed their marketing associate degree programs, enter the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM and enter the Faculties of Electronic Commerce, E-commerce, Marketing, Marketing and Sales, Market Research and Marketing, Market Research and Advertising, Advertising Management, Sales and Advertising Management, Sales Management, They can switch to Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Management and Marketing, Brand Communications departments.

Internship

Internship is a practical and applied education that students will do in the relevant sector. Internships will be held on the dates announced by the School Directorate, and the duration of the internship cannot be less than 30 working days depending on the nature of the program. It is appropriate to do the internship during the summer break at the end of the first year. Students in public institutions and private sector can do their internship.

In the marketing program, there are courses with applications such as Advertising and Sales Techniques.

Work Placement

Apart from the internship, there is no job-based learning activity.
