General Information

Child Development Program aims at training intermediate staff for both state and private sectors, who can also start his/her own business. Thus, the program contributes to the schooling rates in pre-school area and provide the area with trained qualified staff. Child Development Program first admitted students in 2003-2004 Education Year under evening education; in 2011-2012 started distant training program and in 2015-2016 Education year it admitted students under daytime education. There are two teaching assistant at the Child Development Program.

Feature & Definition

The aim of Child Development Program is to present a contemporary education to the students with its lifelong learning mottos and in accordance with the necessities of business life. In this sense, it’s aimed at training the students who can apply his/her knowledge on business and private life; can develop social projects for his/her immediate surrounding; can follow the recent improvements; can produce creative ideas and solutions to the problems.

Goals

To train the proffessional staff whom; are sensitive against the conditions of modern world and also our country, aware of teh principles of Ataturk, supports the national culture and values, targets to serve his/her nation, country and the humanity, basis on the universal sciences and education about the child development, can merge the theoretical knowledge with practices, will be able to perform the requirements of his profession, can contribute the education and life quality of the preschool child, has the necessary qualifications to perform as a specialist in child development, can perceive the problems related with his/her field of study, can produce solutions to these problems, has the ability of analytical thinking and teamwork, and who has the commitment and professional ethics

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students who successfully complete the program by fulfilling all the requirements of the end of the period 4. 'Child Development Associate Diploma Clerk' will receive the degree.

Access to Further Studies

The students who completed two-year degree successfully and got the necessary point in the Vertical Transfer Examination can apply for the “Pre-school Education Teacher Training”, Special education teacher" and “Child Development” Departments.

Applied Course

Within the scope of "Vocational Practice I and II in Pre-school Education Institutions", studies are being carried out in the pre-school education institutions for the implementation of professional skills under the supervision of the instructor responsible.

Work Placement

In this program, workplace training is not applied.

Employment Opportunities

Students who graduated from our program; Pre-school and special education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, pre-school and special education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, pre-school and special education institutions connected to the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, children's clubs for hotels, touristic facilities, children's playgrounds for sports centers, toy producer companies, , As a promotion or marketer, as a child development professional, and in case of need, they can be employed as paid teachers in kindergartens attached to the Ministry of National Education.
