In Educational Sciences Non-thesis Master’s Degree Program Students have the opportunity of analyzing the changes within this field and adapting them to their own institutions analyzing recent approaches and practices in curriculum and instruction. Moreover, they gain research skills preparing a term project in any subject within the field.

The Master's Program in Educational Sciences consists of at least 10 courses and a final project with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits.Within this program there are some elective courses students could prefer in line with their personal and academic interests as well as present theoretical and practical courses regarding curriculum and instruction field.

Goals

The aim of program is to enhance theoretical knowledge within bachelor degree programs of teachers, inspectors and administrators working in educational institutions regarding curriculum and instruction, to gain them some skills regarding research, problem solving and dealing with problems of education in a scientific manner providing them with a rich learning environment via various courses and activities which enables them to combine their theoretical knowledge with professional experiences.

Objectives

To raise professionals understand the status of him/herself and his/her occupation within social development, adopt way of scientific thinking, look after public welfare, possess expertise and could have an active role in enhancing educational effectiveness.

Specific Admission Requirements

Admission requirements for degree: Students could apply for this program with grade point average (GPA), and interview points in line with “Regulation on Postgraduate Education in Çukurova University”.

It is necessary to complete at least 60 ECTS, including at least ten courses and a term project.

Access to Further Studies

The students complete the first term of program are allowed to apply for Master’s with thesis programs in their own or related fields providing that they score enough in ALES and have English language knowledge at an adequate level and succeed in their courses.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates are employed either as education specialist, education researcher etc. in all educational institutions primarily in public and private schools within ministry of education or as educational specialist in various institutions for adult education such as special courses or similar institutions apart from mainstream schools.
