The Department started post-graduate education and training in the academic year 1982-1983 under Science Institute of Çukurova University. The main purpose of graduate studies in the department is the design, construction, selection, efficient operation, healthy and safe use agricultural machinery and technologies in the areas of agricultural production, energy use and publicise it.

Goals

For students who graduated from this program, the aim of this course is to enable the students to have advanced communication skills with the broad scientific communities and the society in general, to be a leader in their field of expertise, to be able to support with current knowledge, to be able to understand and perform scientific studies.

Objectives

The aim of this course is to educate individuals who can develop themselves in the field of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies and who can follow the innovations and produce new theories, analyzes and technologies with their own opinions and experiences. In addition, students who complete the Master's program to design agricultural tools and machines, to prepare the project is prepared in qualified. The aim of this course is to provide qualified individuals who will carry out examinations, tests and analyzes related to the necessary documents and licensing processes for the manufacture, marketing, import and export of agricultural tools and machines.

Specific Admission Requirements

The students can apply to this program providing ALES score, BSc grade point averages, writing and interview in accordance with the regulations of “Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee” and can pursue their education in their or in related fields.

The MSc students who successfully accomplish this program gain a master’s degree of Agricultural Engineering.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

In this program, at least seven credit courses with at least twenty-one credits and not less than 60 ECTS in one academic term (total of fall and spring semesters); Students who complete a total of 120 ECTS credits consisting of seminar course, specialization courses, thesis proposal and thesis study and who are successful in thesis defense are entitled to receive a master's degree.

Access to Further Studies

Students who successfully complete their master's education in this program can study in doctoral programs in their field or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge.

Students graduate with professional knowledge and practical experience as well as a certain level of foreign language competence, can use computer systems and programs, do computer-aided drafting, know how to locate the necessary technology, and they can work as academic staff, get jobs at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ziraat and other banks, agricultural credit cooperatives, municipalities, agricultural machinery and tractor manufacturers and dealers, maintenance, repairs, spare parts and marketing companies and private farms, greenhouses, companies in production and marketing, enterprises and institutions.
