The educational purpose of theTextile Technology program: World competition in the textile sector is directed towards the field of quality costs. Our companies are obliged to raise the level of production quality in order to survive. In the textile sector in our country in the coming years will be invested for the production of high quality products instead of regular products. To meet the needs in Weaving, Spinning, Finishing and Apparel Search fields to train the necessary staff in Education. Staff to work in the industry that can use the appropriate computer program, can recognize the fibers and fabrics, can make them using today´s technology, Occupational health and safety rules that apply in working life, follow the latest developments related to the profession, are textile technicians have the necessary equipment.

Goals

It is a program which is aimed at training, teaching, researching and developing for the application which is contributing to the satisfaction of the need of qualified personnel for the developing textile industry in our country and which is preferred in business world and renewing itself continuously.

Objectives

It is motivated to follow the technological developments of the textile industry with the professional qualifications and to educate qualified graduates of the importance of developing themselves vocally as lifelong.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students can enroll in the program by obtaining a sufficient score from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by The Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Qualification Awarded

Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an associate degree in Textile Technology.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students are obliged to get the required marks in the exams, complete the required practical trainings successfully, obey the %70 attendance rule to the lectures and must have at least 2.0 out of 4.00 overall grade point average.

Access to Further Studies

Vertical transition to 4-year undergraduate program in accordance with relevant regulations of YÖK.

Internship

There is a compulsory internship of 30 working days.

Applied Course

Except for internship and workplace training, 65% of the courses in the program are theoretical and applied. Laboratory and workshop studies are carried out in the applied parts of the courses.

Work Placement

In the program, 3+1 education model is applied and in the fourth semester, students who want and meet the conditions can do Workplace Training in a workplace directed by the program.

Double Major, Additional Major & Exchange Possibilities

Program students have the opportunity to be accepted to exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana.

The graduates of the program are trained as qualified personnel with the title of 'Textile Technician', who know and apply the technological developments in their field, can communicate, can work as a team, can take responsibility for the quality of the product or service produced, adapt to technological developments and have technical skills.
