The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering doctorate program aims to train students with advanced knowledge in their field, do original research in this field, apply the acquired knowledge in theoretical and practical areas, prioritize scientific research, and ethical and academic values.

Feature & Definition
The program is to enable the student to gain the ability to access, evaluate and interpret information by conducting scientific research at the doctoral level.There are six professors, four associate professors, three doctoral faculty members, and five research assistants in our department, and efforts to expand its academic staff with qualified scientists are continuing.Within the scope of Farabi and Erasmus Programs, our graduate students have the opportunity to continue a part of their education in universities in Turkey and abroad.

Goals
To train graduates with the following qualifications: 1) Having the knowledge to perform advanced analysis and design in the sub-branches of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2) Able to effectively use the hardware and software related to the sub-branch of his choice, 3) Able to adapt models, techniques, and other studies developed in the sub-division to new applications or develop new models and methods, 4) Having the ability to follow the developments related to their profession and lifelong learning awareness, 5) Being prone to individual and group work, developing a sense of responsibility, gaining professional ethics awareness, 6) Having social responsibility and self-confidence, 7) Will be able to follow developments and publications on technical issues, comprehend and summarize these studies, make appropriate inferences, and express this information and their work in a written and verbal manner under ethical rules.
Objectives
It is a program in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering field that aims to develop original ideas and products, research and development, and contribute to universal academic knowledge.
Specific Admission Requirements
To graduate from this program, the student must take at least 21 credits (60 ECTS) from the courses available in the graduate programs of the department or other related departments, complete all of them successfully, and obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 3.0 out of 4.00. The student must successfully defend his/her thesis in a field related to his/her subject to a selected jury.

The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the doctorate degree of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Access to Further Studies
Students graduating from this program can apply to post-doctoral programs depending on their field of expertise. Also, can take Assistant Prof. positions in academia provided that they satisfy other requirements.

No work place training is required in this program.
