General Information

CU Department of Computer Engineering; Computer Software, Computer Science, Theoretical Foundations of Computer Engineering, Computer Hardware, Control and Control Systems. It is a program that graduates with the title of "Computer Engineer" after a four year undergraduate education. In order for the students to graduate, they have to successfully complete the summer internship in addition to the theoretical and practical courses given in accordance with the engineering formation. The Department of Computer Engineering possesses graduates who work in very important institutions including world-renowned computer and software companies.

Feature & Definition

The Department of Computer Engineering is a new system that can solve problems in an existing system, find problems and find original and creative solutions that can find jobs in national or international informatics organizations or academia in the field of computer engineering with a solid foundation and engineering sciences infrastructure. who are able to design and project, to make individual and team work that will make progress in business life, to be able to express themselves verbally and in writing, to have the ability to watch resources written in foreign languages, to be open and confident in innovations and to be responsive to the problems of our time and responsibilities required by this sensitivity. not to educate our students in the best way by associating theory and practice to train computer engineers who can act in accordance with ethical principles is carrying out a targeted training program. The program includes compulsory courses on both basic engineering sciences and computer engineering. In addition to the compulsory courses in the training plan, there are also elective courses that students can choose according to their preferences. Thus, Computer Engineering Department educates contemporary engineers who are equipped with the knowledge and skills that they can serve in every field of Computer Engineering profession on national and international scale, who develop themselves by following the developments in their fields, who are prone to teamwork, inquisitive and ethical values.

Goals

The main goal of our department is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of engineering, mathematics and computer science; to graduate computer engineers having sufficiency and qualification in the fields of hardware, software and information systems.

Objectives

Educational objectives of the program are to graduate students with the following qualifications 1. Ability to apply mathematics and engineering knowledge. 2. To be able to identify engineering problems and produce solutions on computer 3. Ability to use modern engineering tools appropriately for engineering applications 4. To have knowledge and skill in the design and development of software systems 5. To have knowledge about current technological issues 6. Can work interdisciplinary.

Specific Admission Requirements

Placement through a centralized national university placement examination (ÖSYS). Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) is responsible to place students according to their ÖSYS scores.

The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the bachelor's degree of Computer Engineering.

Engineering diplomas is given students who complete 4-year education. 240 ECTS successfully completed and general grade above 2.00

Access to Further Studies

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in same field or related areas if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of "Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee", which includes ALES, general point of average, and the interview.

Internship

Every student must do 2 internships.

Applied Course

Lectured and applied in laboratories.

Students are intended to cooperate with the industry by being included in various R & D projects.
