General Information
The Master's Program in Economics educates individuals with an appropriate bachelor's degree in the private sector and in the public sector (central bank, non-governmental organizations, commercial banks, stock exchange and brokerage houses, insurance companies, other national and international institutions) as qualified specialists. It provides students with the necessary skills in economics theory and methodology in order to specialize in economics and similar fields and then to continue their doctoral studies. In addition to the courses they have to take and the methods they have to take, the students have the opportunity to choose from the courses offered in the Master's Program in Economics and other programs according to their interests. The program offers a choice of Thesis and Non-Thesis.

Goals
1- Follow, use and synthesize new methods and contributions to economic theories. 2- Comprehend economic theories, gain knowledge and make economic analysis 3- Students will be able to follow the English language publications in the field and gain the ability to make academic publications in English. 4- Develops policy proposals by using economic theories and methods and evaluates economic policies. 5- Obtains the hardware and infrastructure of the theories and methods required to continue their doctoral studies. 6- Students will be able to write an independent report by using his / her knowledge about economic theory and methods, and make presentations in academic meetings. 7- Learns and uses econometric, statistical and mathematical analysis methods. 8- Evaluates and synthesizes interdisciplinary approaches to economic issues.
Objectives
Our graduates The economics education at Çukurova University is a very solid foundation for developing practical skills. Turkey and abroad who continue to graduate and has been successful with this analytical background. Department of Economics Theory and History, Economic Development and International Economics, Economics Policy are taught in three departments.
Specific Admission Requirements
The students can apply to this program providing ALES score, grade point averages and interview in accordance with the regulations of “Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee” and can pursue their education in their or in related fields.
Qualification Awarded
The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the master’s degree of Economy(Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans (2.Eğitim)).

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students must not fail the compulsory and elective courses in their curriculum, provide a total of 60 ECTS, and complete the academic average requirement specified in the Çukurova University undergraduate regulation.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency.

Employment Opportunities
Like the graduates of the other departments of the faculty, graduates of this program have the opportunity to work in both public and private sectors. Besides this, thanks to the analysis skills they gain, they can also work in various divisions of companies such as research and planning. In addition, they have the opportunity to be employed in public corporations like Turkish Statistical Institute, Ministry of Development, Undersecretariat of Treasury, Central Bank of Turkey, in banking and finance sectors, and also in marketing research firms that are doing research in different fields including public and marketing research.
