General Information

It has 4 laboratories (bobbinage, control and PLC, electronics, electric machine labs) and 4 classes of education and training with technical and practical knowledge about installation, maintenance and repair of electrical devices, to train project researchers and to use computers. There are 3 staff teaching staff in our department.

Feature & Definition

In the electrical program, education is given as theoretical and practical. In this way, it is aimed to strengthen the theoretical knowledge infrastructure of the students and to have knowledge about the application. It is aimed to train electrical technicians who have the ability to find faults, solve problems, make decisions and plan processes and functions.

Goals

It is aimed to train industrial technicians who are familiar with electrical machinery, hardware and systems used in industry, know their specifications, perform maintenance and repairs, use their professional knowledge in industrial applications, recognize and program programmable devices.

Objectives

To educate industrial technicians who are familiar with electrical machinery, hardware and systems used in industry, know their specifications, perform maintenance and repairs, use their professional knowledge in industrial applications, and recognize and program programmable devices.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students are accepted with a central exam conducted by the Electrical Program Measurement Selection and Placement Center (OSYM). Students are admitted to the program with TYT score type and 2-year associate degree education is given. Students who choose with their TYT score are placed in the program they prefer with the Central Placement made by OSYM according to their success ranking.

Qualification Awarded

Graduates who successfully complete the program by fulfilling all the requirements receive the "Associate Degree Diploma in Electricity".

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students graduate from this program by completing 120 ECTS/ECTS credits. In order to graduate, students must successfully complete all of the courses available in the program and obtain a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. In addition, students must successfully complete their 30-day professional internship. The graduate student is awarded an associate degree diploma in the field of Electricity.

Access to Further Studies

If graduates get necessary points from the Vertical Transfer Exam , they can complete their undergraduate education.

Internship

Internship is a practical and applied education that students will do in the relevant sector. Internships will be held on the dates announced by the School Directorate, and the duration of the internship cannot be less than 30 working days depending on the nature of the program. It is appropriate to do the internship during the summer break at the end of the first year. Students in public institutions and private sector can do their internship.

Applied Course

Within the scope of the program, there are applied courses such as Measurement Technique, Direct Current Circuits, Introduction to Installation, Alternating Current Circuits, Transformer and Direct Current Machines, Power Electronics-I, Winding Technique.

Work Placement

Apart from the internship, there is no job-based learning activity.
