General Information

The aim of the program is to provide students with the ability to access information through research, and to analyse and interpret it. This program consists of at least seven courses- not less than 21 credits-, one seminar course and thesis process. Considering the requirements of mathematics education, the purpose is to train experts and academics in the fields of mathematics education who is capable of self-renewing, adaptable to changes and developments, self-confident and who perceive science as a way of life, and follow and implement international scientific developments. In this regard, following the Mathematics Education Graduate program designated by the Board of the Department of Mathematics Education, both theoretical and practical content knowledge, professional knowledge and general knowledge courses are given by the faculty members who are experts in their fields.

In this program, students can continue their education in their own field or in related fields as a result of the evaluation of ALES, undergraduate graduation GPA and interview exam together within the framework of "Ç.Ü. Graduate Education and Training Regulations

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students studying in this program must have a GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 in order to graduate, and they must be successful with a minimum grade of DD in all the courses prescribed in the curriculum. It consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and thesis work, provided that it is not less than twenty-one credits to be earned for graduation..

Access to Further Studies

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency.

Double Major, Additional Major & Exchange Possibilities

All exchanges in Erasmus learning mobility are carried out within the scope of valid bilateral agreements signed between Çukurova University and universities holding Erasmus University Charter.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of the Mathematics Teaching Master's program can teach at MEB and private schools and private teaching institutions; Teaching in Science and Art Centers; They can work as specialists or educational technologists in institutions such as the Ministry of National Education and its affiliated private schools and private teaching institutions, or they can work as civil servants in different institutions of the state. They can also work in fields related to instructional technologies in the private sector. In addition to these, graduates who continue their master's and doctorate education can also work as faculty members in universities.
