Goals

The aim of the course is to enable the student to gain the ability of accessing information, compiling, evaluating and interpreting information by doing scientific research in the field ofBiomedical Engineering.

Objectives

Purpose of the programme is to educate well-trained engineers, who are able to solve clinical problems. In order to complete the requirements, students must successfully finish a thesis study in addition to seven elective courses and a seminar. All the courses are elective and should be determined with the consent of the supervisor.

Specific Admission Requirements

The students can apply to this program within the frame of “Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations”, which requires average score of ALES, grade point averages and interview performed by departmental committe.

Qualification Awarded

The students who have successfully completed the requirements of this program are awarded with a diploma of master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Level of Qualification

Master's

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

After the successful completion of the courses, seminars and thesis studies determined by the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering is awarded. There are no additional requirements to the minimum requirements of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. In principle, it is essential that the Master's degree earned in line with scientific research and publication ethics is used for technologies for the benefit of humanity.

Access to Further Studies

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency.

Internship

There is no internship necessity for Biomedical engineers in master's degree.

Applied Course

Applied courses in the Biomedical Engineering Master's Program are held in the research laboratory of the relevant faculty member. This process includes the steps of simulation, prototyping, measurement and productization following the theoretical design.

Work Placement

There is no necessity of study based on job learning for Biomedical engineers in master's degree.

Double Major, Additional Major & Exchange Possibilities

This programme has no opportunity of double major/minor/common programme.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates are employed in many fields of public and private sector in different fields with the title of "Biomedical Engineer".
