General Information

Developments that do not know boundaries in technology; necessitates the use of computer technology. Therefore, it is aimed to provide quality and application oriented education prepared in accordance with international norms and definitions in order to train technicians in computer field which will contribute to technical studies and developments in technology. In this program, as a part of Computer Programming Department in 1996-1997 Education and Training Year, 20 students were taken into education and training activities. Purpose of the program; who are aware of their professional, moral and social responsibilities, who are capable of defining, analyzing and solving problems in computer education and technology, who are learning lifelong and aiming to apply their learning in the best way, who are aware of human, collecting, cultural differences and nature, train.

Goals

Purpose of the program; who are aware of their professional, moral and social responsibilities, who are capable of defining, analyzing and solving problems in computer education and technology, who are learning lifelong and aiming to apply their learning in the best way, who are aware of human, collecting, cultural differences and nature, train.

Objectives

The goal of the program; In order to train students who can theoretically and practically define, analyze and solve problems of current software and hardware in computer education and technologies, it is aimed to carry out the education process, especially by using up-to-date software on the computer. It is to provide students with lifelong learning qualifications and to raise awareness about the necessity of following computer technologies and software.

Specific Admission Requirements

Candidates who have a high school diploma and who show a certain success in the central examinations conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM), will be placed in the programa taking into account the order of preference and success. In addition, students are admitted to the Computer Programming program by means of horizontal transfer within the quota and criteria determined by the university.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students studying in this program must have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 in order to graduate, and they must be successful by getting at least DD/S grade from all the courses stipulated in the curriculum. The minimum ECTS to be earned for graduation is 120. Students are also required to complete their compulsory internship within the specified time and feature.

Access to Further Studies

Graduates may enroll in some departments of the Open Education Faculty without examination and have a bachelor's degree as a graduate from this department. In addition, students graduated from this program can enter the vertical transfer examination and continue their undergraduate education in the related departments.

Employment Opportunities

Students who graduated from the program are qualified in the qualifications they earn; They are employed in the computer sector, technical services and businesses. Program graduates can make their own initiatives; public and private sector organizations will be able to fill in the information workers, software, hardware, communication networks or maintenance personnel needed.
