Feature & Definition

This program is taken by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Anesthesia Program 40 students in the normal education and 40 students in the second teacher, we have a quota of 80 people. The language of instruction is Turkish. Students perform their applied courses at the Balcalı Hospital of Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine. Students who graduate from this program gain the title of health technician. The university can find work in state and private health institutions.

Goals

To train qualified technicians who have the knowledge, skills and attitudes to know the necessary tools and equipment for general and regional anesthesia application, to prepare the environment and the patient, and to provide the necessary assistance to the specialist doctor during intervention in case of complications that may develop during and after surgery.

Objectives

To train technicians who are familiar with the conditions of general and regional anesthesia application, operating room, intensive care and resuscitation environment, who ensure the hemodynamic stabilization and airway safety of the patient in emergency and planned surgeries with the circulation of necessary equipment, who monitor the patient in terms of vital functions, depth of anesthesia and effects of drugs, and who have the knowledge and skills to apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation to adults, children and newborns.

Specific Admission Requirements

According to the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by the OSYM Presidency, students are admitted to this program within the quota. In addition, students are accepted within the quotas announced by the international student office and the quota for horizontal transfer according to the central/general grade point average.

Internship

Mandatory summer internship is 30 working days. Internship can be done in State and University Hospitals.

Applied Course

Practical courses are carried out in Çukurova University Balcalı Hospital Health Practice and Research Center clinics.

There is not a workplace training application.
