General Information

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program was established in 1993 . This program consists of four semesters in two years. In this two years program, learning theoretical lectures, laboratory practices and industry based training is provided. Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program students the basic concepts of science and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration applications in the teaching of manual skills to develop the industrial and laboratory prepared. The program aims to meet the need for qualified people in the industry today and in the future. For this reason, a member of the group of industrial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Refrigeration technician skilled workers should be provided with more information and foresight. Goals

It is to train technicians with modern knowledge and skills who can meet the growing need in the fields of air conditioning, cooling and ventilation in the fastest and easiest way.

Objectives

The aim of the course is to educate qualified personnel who have established lifelong learning skills that can follow the developments in their profession, establishing climate and cooling systems in accordance with projects and standards, performing service and maintenance works, controlling cost and work flow and making job planning in their profession, concept of professional ethics responsibility.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students can enroll in the program by obtaining a sufficient score from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by The Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Qualification Awarded

Graduates who successfully complete all the requirements of the program and complete 30 working days of internship receive the associate degree of "Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology Technician".

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

The duration of study is four semesters. In order for students to graduate from the program, they must take all the courses available in this program and complete them with a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and have no failed courses. Graduates are entitled to receive an Associate Degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology.

Access to Further Studies

Students who successfully complete their Associate Degree education can receive T.R. Provided that they get sufficient points from the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM); They can make vertical transfer to Mechanical Engineering and Energy Systems Engineering undergraduate programs.

Internship

There is a compulsory internship of 30 working days.

Applied Course

Except for internship and workplace training, 65% of the courses in the program are theoretical and applied. Laboratory and workshop studies are carried out in the applied parts of the courses.

Work Placement

In the program, 3+1 education model is applied and in the fourth semester, students who want and meet the conditions can do Workplace Training in a workplace directed by the program.

Program students have the opportunity to be accepted to exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana.
