General Information

The Real Estate and Property Management Program started its education in the 2012-2013 academic year under the Department of Wholesale and Retail Sales with regular education. As in many developed and developing countries, the real estate market (real estate) significantly contributes to the Turkish economy in terms of both the added value it creates and the employment it creates. However, the rapid population growth observed in our country over the years, families divided as a result of cultural changes, the phenomenon of urbanization, the increase in income levels and the rise in living standards have made the real estate sector one of the prominent sectors in commercial life. However, despite this rapid development and growth in the sector, the human factor that will apply the marketing components of real estate, which is an important pillar of the sector and the output of the sector, in the most modern way within the supply-demand balance, should be provided to the sector, as should the well-equipped and knowledgeable personnel. When we look at the studies conducted on the sector, it is seen that people from all walks of life can do this job as a profession and that many employers in the sector have not received training in the sector. At this point, real estate and property management associate degree programs that train educated personnel for the sector gain importance. The legal regulations that have been made and are being made require entrepreneurs who will operate in this field to have received training in this field. In this sense, to meet the sector's human resources needs, our department is trying to quickly offer students modules based on competencies that will directly meet the needs of the sector with modern education approaches.

The Real Estate and Real Estate Management Program covers an associate degree level and a 2-year education period. All courses in the program are compulsory and must be completed successfully in order for students to graduate.

Goals

The real estate and real estate management associate degree program aims to closely follow the requirements of the age, to provide students with the ability to conduct real estate valuation studies in light of scientific methods that the real estate sector needs, and to train personnel equipped with professional knowledge to market, manage and provide service consultancy for real estate. This program aims to provide professional knowledge and skills for the real estate and construction sector. It aims to ensure that students reach a level where they can perform real estate valuation, marketing, management and consultancy services using the scientific methods needed in the sector.

Objectives

To be a privileged program that trains qualified intermediate personnel with high knowledge and skills, who can apply the requirements of the profession at the highest level. It aims to train qualified real estate consultants needed by the sector, to provide students with professional knowledge and skills to create a workforce that complies with sector standards, and to ensure that graduates become experts who can meet customer needs at the highest level.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

The student must have succeeded in all the courses in the program and must not have a grade of FF, FG, NA, UB. In this program, the student must provide at least 120 ECTS credits and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Access to Further Studies

Candidates who successfully complete their associate degree education can continue in undergraduate programs provided that they receive a passing grade from the Vertical Transfer Exam.

Internship

Students have to complete vocational training which last 30 days

Applied Course

Practical lessons are included in the curriculum of this program.

Work Placement

In this program, workplace training is not applied.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of the Real Estate and Property Management Program have wide job opportunities in the public and private sectors. Program graduates can find jobs in the National Real Estate Directorate, General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, Land Registry and Cadastre Directorates, Real Estate and Settlement Directorates of Municipalities and similar public institutions and organizations. In the private sector, they can work in real estate companies and offices, construction companies, banks, insurance companies, real estate investment partnership companies, housing development and financing companies and become real estate appraisers and real estate consultants. They also have the opportunity to open their own businesses. Graduates have the opportunity to specialize in the real estate sector and build a career in areas such as real estate management, investment consultancy, marketing and sales.
