Feature & Definition
Students in this program are prepared to teach in diverse environments, including schools and daycare centers in public and private institutions, which serve children from birth to age of 6 and their families. We aim to enable our students to become outstanding early childhood teachers, decision makers, and intellectual and ethical leaders. Honoring the importance of understanding children’s development and learning in context, the Master´s program especially emphasizes collaboration with families and other professionals.

Goals
Through theoretical approaches and empirical research, this program aims to foster the ability to prepare, apply, and evaluate plans that are appropriate for pre-school programmes. It is also a priority to help students gain a professional and effective working style with the pre-school children, their families and other fellow workers in the area.
Objectives
Master´s program in Preschool Education aims to prepare teachers and researchers dedicated to excellence in the field of preschool education (Pre-K). Our students will have the competence to utilize in different teaching contexts the knowledge they obtain by focusing on the development and the most effective ways of learning of young children.
Specific Admission Requirements
The graduates from the Master’s stage in the degree program in Early Childhood Education become experts in the fields of early childhood development, education, management, and research in particular. The education is based on research focusing on early childhood and teaching. The graduates from the Master’s programme can also continue their education to the doctorate programme.
Qualification Awarded
Those who graduate from this program with a master's degree with thesis receive the degree of Scientific Specialist in Preschool Education.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
The total duration can be at least 4 and at most 6 semesters. The course period is at least 2 semesters and at most 4 semesters. Minimum 7 credit courses/21 credits (maximum 10 credits can be taken in one semester (excluding UAD and seminar)). Seminar course must be taken in addition. GPA ≥ 2.50. At least 2 semesters must be completed in the thesis phase. At least 120 ECTS must be taken in total. The student must successfully defend the thesis.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency.
