General Information

The primary objective of the department is to increase the quantity and quality of livestock products in the total agricultural production. The Department of Animal Sciences is offering undergraduate and graduate (M.Sc. and PhD.) courses in the fields of livestock production, animal breeding, animal nutrition and health protection aiming to increase livestock products in quantity and quality wise. In addition to education and training the department is conducting research projects with the objectives of solving both national and Cukurova region livestock production problems.

The Department of Animal Science is aimed at raising qualified zootechnician agricultural engineers who will be able to work on genetic breeding, feeding, breeding and health-protection of various animal species.

Specific Admission Requirements

The students can apply to this program providing ALES score, grade point averages and interview in accordance with the regulations of "Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee" and can pursue their education in their or in related fields.

The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the master's degree of Department of Animal Science.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

To take 240 ECTS courses, to be successful in the summer internship, to have a GPA of 2 out of 4.

Access to Further Studies

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the "Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies", which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency.
