Course Goal / Objective

To teach the Improvement/stabilization of weak soils, methods of improvement and control techniques of improvement

Course Content

Introduction, compaction, consolidation, removing and backfilling, Injection, stone columns, thermal processes, stabilization with additives (limes, flying ash, tire-chips etc.), geosynthetics, control of soil improvment
