Course Goal / Objective

Having knowledge about the macroscopic structure of wood and wood properties and to recognize defects

Course Content

Anomalies modifies the possibilities of wood characteristics and use, finding firewood unwanted features, the fiber curvature seen in wood, fiber curl, corrugated fiber, core wood, knots, cracks, defects such as soft wood formation and reaction wood around the core.
