Course Goal / Objective
The importance of concepts related with standard and quality on the building; Quality, TQC, TQM, specifications, standards, etc. European architectural quality laws, Turkey´s integration with the international standards (ISO-TSE-CEN TS-EN). Building materials regulations, quality system certification and exploring the basic principles of architectural sustainability.
Course Content
Explaining the purpose, significance, types of topics of Standardization and Qualıty in building; ISO 9000, ISO14000, EIA documents and reports,; green building certifications (BREEAM, LEED, etc.) of some international unions; TQM, TQC, quality control and so on. ; architectural quality in Europe and Turkey (architectural laws and regulations
