Course Goal / Objective

In accordance with the principles of adult education, students will gain skills to provide physical and psychological preparation for the pregnant, the partner and family to pregnancy, labor and postpartum period, to care for woman, newborn and family and have active role in the labour preparatory classes.

PLO12 - Uses the management activities for planning, organization, implementation and evaluation of midwifery services, aware of the roles and responsibilities of the profession.
PLO13 - Implements optimal health practices to her own life.
PLO14 - Uses computer and information technology.
PLO15 - Uses effective communication skills with healthy/sick person and health team member.
PLO16 - Knows foreign language enough to communicate.
PLO17 - In addition to developing professionally, constantly improves herself by identifying her own learning needs in accordance with her interests and capabilities in scientific, social, cultural and artistic fields.
PLO18 - Evaluates the woman, pregnant, mother and newborn in pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period with ethical values, holistic and humanistic approach in accordance with primary health care services.
