Course Goal / Objective
This course aims at giving information about basic principles of woolen, worsted and semi-worsted spinning and production methods. wool spinning processes and machines, teaching basic information in order to plan manufacturing and selection of suitable raw material for required yarn production, selection of suitable machine setting for required production, product planning and manufacturing.
Course Content
Introduction to Wool Spinning. Structure and Properties of Wool: Chemical Structure and Properties. Physical Structure and Properties of Wool. Classification of Wool According to its Characteristics. Separating, Opening, Scouring, Drying Processes. Blow Room and Machines Used in Wool Spinning.
