Course Goal / Objective
To teach the phases and development stages of the Turkish culture and comparing them with the different civilizations of the the periods with different perspectives.
Course Content
Important values of Turks, the values that are reflected in the Turkish language: kinship names, proverbs, idioms, language and localization concept of euphemism, the tradition of giving a name to the Turks, in the context of cultural values, from past to present Turkish words for men and women, the effect of technological developments in the language, living in Central Asia Turkish communities and cultures, and cultural problems of speakers of Turkish overseas.
