Course Goal / Objective
Animal husbandry policies that will shed light on the management of an effective livestock enterprises, besides having basic economic knowledge on animal health at macro and micro level, as well as animal husbandry businesses can use the basic business functions, business results can be evaluated in the light of economic principles, veterinarians are trained. As a result of the lessons, veterinarians are gained the ability to understand and evaluate basic economic activities at national scale, to analyze the information about animal production and breeding with economic understanding.
Course Content
The basic concepts of animal health economics and management include some basic economic concepts, general information about animal production in Turkey and the world, economic functions of livestock sector, place and importance of agriculture and livestock in rural economic development, structure and characteristics of livestock enterprises.
