Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to enable the students to acquire the basic knowledge and skills of parasitology, to understand the general characteristics of parasites, to identify parasites and parasitic diseases as well as to expose students the basic knowledge of the host-parasite relationship, their ways of entering and leaving the organisms, means of invasion, harmful effects on hosts, the identification, treatment, prevention and control of parasitic diseases.
Course Content
This course contains basic parasitological terms and definitions as well as the general biology, reproduction, transmission routes, pathogenity, prophylaxis and control of parasites.
