Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to give information about fabric structures and designs obtained from various weaving techniques, gain experience in application skills/ability in practice determined within the course contents.

Course Content

Fabric analysis and design with the relevant general concepts and definitions, Commerical woven fabrics ; Basic woven structures.Colour wovens. Crepe fabrics and weaving. Pique fabrics in weaving. Woven fabrics with three yarns systems. Double woven fabrics. Structural analysis of basic woven fabrics; colour and construction yarn analysis and information. Determination of the weaving information/conditions for finished and grey fabrics . Weaving calculations and planning.
