Course Goal / Objective

In this course, Sumerian and Akkad sculpture, architecture, and the small finds from the beginning of the development of the art of painting will be examined in detail in the light of findings.

Course Content

Introduction, Scope, significance and rules, the political and cultural structure of Mesopotamia before the Sumerians, Ubeid Period, Art and artwork of the Late Uruk Period, the period of Early Dynasties, history of Mesopotamia, opinions on the art of the Near East, General Evaluation.
