Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to introduce the gods and the gods family (pantheon) which are seen in archaeological, philological, and depiction art from the earliest times until the end of the two thousands.
Course Content
Examples of myths as the most ancient works of world literature, Sumerian Myth: Myth of Creation, Flood Myth, the Babylonian Gilgamesh Myth, ADAPA Myth, Etana and the Eagle Myth, Anatolian myths, Phrygian myths, Ugarit and Canaan Area myths.
