Course Goal / Objective

After describing the terminology of underwater archeology, to give information about survey areas, history, starting in Turkey, antique wrecks, ancient ship typology and excavation and surface investigations made today.

Course Content

What is underwater archeology, Underwater archaeological terminology, underwater excavation techniques, underwater research techniques, ancient sunken studies, ancient boat typology, maritime trade between remote regions.
