Course Goal / Objective
To evaluate the civilizations that founded empires in 1000 BC, in South and North Mezopotamia (the late Neo-Babylonian-Assyrian), their political histories and all kinds of works of art that have survived up until today.
Course Content
Neo-Assyrian Period, northern Mesopotamia, the geographical features, the main lines of Neo-Assyrian political history, the Neo-Assyrian cities: Nimrud (Kalhu),Korsabad (Dur-şarrrukin), Koyuncuk (Ninive), Assur, Balawat, Til-Barsip, Zencirli (Sam al), Tell Halaf (Guzana), Aslantaş (Hadatu).
