Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to help students design and assembly a machine that is compiled of piece or pieces that were produced with the help of 3D design program.

Course Content

Introduction to CATIA. The Sketcher Workbench: objectives, sketcher functionality, geometry profiles, sketcher operation exercises, constraints. The Part Design Workbench: objectives, reference elements, geometry-based features. Model organization: specification tree fundamentals, body types, part design exercises. The assembly workbench: the assembly environment, assembling components using the product structure toolbar. The drafting workbench: an introduction to drafting, draft documents, drafting tools, drafting exercises.
