Course Goal / Objective

Teaching of the basic knowledge of material science in today's technology

Course Content

Introduction to material science and engineering, Material types, New developments in material use, Atomic structure and bonds, Crystal structures and crystal geometry, Crystal structure analysis; Polycrystals; Solidification, crystalline imperfections and rate processes in solids; Industrial applications of diffusion process; electrical properties of materials; Semiconducting materials and its technological applications; Metallic materials and its technological applications; Superconducting materials and its technological applications
