Course Goal / Objective
To give student the knowledge about the history of librarianship and some important libraries; the skill to find and use library sources.
Course Content
The ability to comprehend paper and pen throughout history, the ability to know first libraries in history, the ability to know libraries in Seljukids and other Turkic states, the ability to comprehend the development and types of libraries in Ottomans, the ability to know and use libraries in republican period and at the present, the ability to make use of the library classification systems, the ability to know main libraries in in our country and foreign countries, the ability to make comparison between library staff in history and present day.
