Course Goal / Objective

To systematically analyse the late Hittite civilization which had an important place in the Iron Age Kingdoms with its strong cultural diffusion in Anatolia.

Course Content

In this course, the political history of the late Hittite States , which were established in an area covering northern Syria and southeastern Anatolia after the collapse of Hittite Empire (after 1200 BC), as well as their architecture and plastic arts are examined in a chronological sequence in the context of each city-state in detail.
