To educate modern individuals who can develop original, creative, practical and alternative ideas and who can produce technically, formally and conceptually art projects,

Course Content

Execution and exhibition of an artistic project parallel to the subject of the the decided theme in terms of technical, formal and conceptual issues.

Week Topic Preparation Methods
1 Sharing the ideas and concepts of ceramic art project, which is going to be produced in ceramics by the student. Researching the catalogues, periodicals, article books and web pages which include the works of artists and designers who use ceramic and other materials.
2 The prsentation of the theme which is decided to be executed, sketch process, working areas preparation, and insuring the basic materials for the production. Researching the catalogues, periodicals, article books and web pages which include the works of artists and designers who use ceramic and other materials. And presentation of the research on a fast track.
3 The presentation project with the view of technic, form, content. Execution and evaluation of project. Drawing the colored and scaled drafts of the project. Sketch and model works of the decided project, evaluation of the steps. Draft and scale drawing of the project in color.
4 Decided project's technic and artistic drawings presentation, and maquette's application. Providing the materials to be used. Doing literature review for writing the thesis.
5 Application and evaluation. Finding solutions for the project conceptually, esthetically and technically. Literature review for the graduation thesis and determining the titles.

8 MIDTERM EXAM (Whole sketches, coloured artistic designs, and the decided subject's research file with CD record has to be given to the lecturer of the course ) Making the necessary arrangements for the presentation of the study and the file.

16 FINAL EXAM (When the whole process of the project is completed, installed and ready for exhibition, it could be graded over 100). Making the necessary arrangements for the presentation of completed art work.
