Course Goal / Objective

The metamorphism, the metamorphic rocks,the metamorphic facies and their physico-chemical conditions will be given to students.

Course Content

Introduction, Fundamental concepts, classification and description of common metamorphic rock types in hand specimens and under the microscope, texture and structures of metamorphic rocks,concepts of metamorphic zones and facies, contact metamorphism, dynamic metamorphism,regional metamorphism.
