Course Goal / Objective

In this course; It is aimed at teaching the students information about determining the impact load on the support system, fortification material (wood, steel, concrete) features and design principles, roof bolts and design principles, filling system.

Course Content

Effects of the properties of side rocks and field stress on the support design strategy. Importance of supports in mining engineering, Wooden support system,Steel support system, Long wall support system, Rock bolts, Concrete Support system, Backfill support.
