Course Goal / Objective

The purpose of this course is the development of architecture in the historical process of the concept of aesthetic, philosophical and art historical context, giving is to develop artistic perception. In addition to a work of art how to take care materials, function, content and so on. addressed in the context of the artistic and cultural sensitivity is to increase the student.

Course Content

Basic concepts: aesthetics, beauty, art and architecture. Aesthetics and problem areas, aesthetic doctrine, environmental aesthetics, perception of Gestalt theory, aesthetics in architecture as an evaluation criterion, the spatial aesthetics of architecture, visual balance. Format specifications related concepts: Unit size, union scale, proportion, rhythm, symmetry. Formatting approaches: Form to be considered, visualization and abstract / concrete form, abstraction / concretization of the form creation, thought and concept development, moving from product specifications. Perceptual aesthetic, symbolic aesthetic, formal aesthetics.
