Course Goal / Objective

Material selection criteria according to different areas and aims. Application techniques of materials and assisting elements. Labor methods. Storage, transportation, installation, creating the logic of ease of editing. Investigating materials based on different spaces - studying them in terms of economic-aesthetic functionality issues. Sampling and preparation of sample catalogues, cost / quantity survey analysis and their reflection on the project. Application examples are discussed in seminars.

Course Content

A mid-term is administered to evaluate students performances during the semester. Homework is regarded as a second midterm exam. At the end of the term, a final exam is given. Following the final exam, a report and a seminar presentation based on alternative material organization action plans in different space projects is required.
